Fabio Federico

Fabio Federico was born in Rossano, Italy on October 8, 1974 and graduated from the Conservatory "Stanislao Giacomo Antonio" in Cosenza under the guidance of Master Pietro Morelli. He attended postgraduate courses with Angelo Gilardino, Tilman Hoppstock, Maurizio Colonna, and Luigi Biscaldi. In 1998, he graduated from the "Lorenzo Perosi" International Academy of Biella, under the guidance of guitarist-composer Angelo Gilardino. He specialized in 19th Century repertoire under the guidance of the master Lucio Matarazzo at the Conservatory of Avellino obtaining the II level degree.

Concert Activities and Competitions: 

Fabio has been a guest on numerous television programs and has recorded soundtracks.  He performed numerous direct live radio shows in many countries, often offering programs of Italian composers of the 18th and 19th Centuries. He currently performs and teaches master classes in Germany, Poland, Australia, United States, Guatemala, Venezuela, Hong Kong, China, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland and France.  He is a regular performer on concerts and music festivals in Italy with high praise from the critics and audiences there.

Fabio has won numerous awards in major national and international guitar competitions, including: the Benvenuto Terzi di Clusone (Bergamo), the Lagonegro International Guitar Competition, the Thirteenth National Competition of Parma, the 14th International Nicola Fago Competition in Taranto, the International Competition Emilio Pujol of Sassari, and the National Competition of Castelfidardo.


In 2005 Fabio released his first album, Estudios, on the Ethnoworld label. He has recorded for the magazine Sei corde and for the record company Play records where he released a recording of the works of the romantic composer Giulio Regondi. He has also recorded the albums titled 18th Century Guitar Works
Vol. I and Twentieth Century Guitar Sonatas.
