Ina Petkova-Apostolova

Ina Petkova-Apostolova began her professional musical education at the age of 6 years. At age 13 she won her first prize from an international competition “Young Musical Talents”- Sofia (Bulgaria). Ina Petkova graduated the National High School of Music in Sofia (Bulgaria) and continued her Bachelor and Master studies at the University for Music and Arts in Vienna (Austria) with Walther Schulz and Lilia Schulz-Bayrova. She also at the “Conservatoire a Rayonnement Departmental”- L’Hay les roses in Paris with Romain Garioud. Ina Petkova-Apostolova received a Master of Arts at the University of Music Lausanne (Switzerland) with Xavier Phillips and an Artist Diploma at Schwob School of Music, Columbus State University with Wendy Warner. She has participated in master classes given by Heinrich Schiff, Young Chang Cho, Marc Coppey, Marko Ylönen, Richard Hirschl, Stephen Balderston, Stefan Popov, and Ventseslav Nikolo.


Ina Petkova-Apostolova has won several 1st prizes in international and national competitions. She was selected as principal cellist and guest principal cellist in orchestras including: The Columbus Symphony Orchestra (US), Sinfonietta Sofia (Bulgaria) and Sinfonietta dell’Arte (Austria). Ina Petkova is a founder and member of the chamber music ensemble, Trio Consenso Vienna (Vienna- Austria). Recently she has performed as a soloist with the Radio Symphony Orchestra (Vienna) and in the large hall at the Konzerthaus in Vienna. She has performed on renowned stages in Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Slovakia, Greece, Canada and the United States.
